Key Responsibilities
- High-Impact Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical manufacturing systems quickly to minimize downtime. Safely execute hot work, confined space entries, and high-altitude tasks.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform daily operational checks on boilers, air compressors, and dust collectors. Keep equipment operating at peak efficiency by completing filter changes, chain lubrication, and system cleanings.
- Direct Production Support: Blend dry chemical batches, assist operators with bulk liquid chemical transfers, replace separator screens, and respond rapidly to off-normal conditions on the floor.
- Facility & Audit Readiness: Maintain overall plant infrastructure—including basic plumbing, lighting, HVAC, racking, and forklifts. Help lead plant readiness for ISO, OSHA, fire safety, and environmental audits.
- Shift Excellence: Track spare parts inventory to prevent stockouts, maintain an organized work area, and mentor fellow crew members.
- Technical Core: Proven working knowledge and hands-on experience with industrial three-phase power, motor controls, and networking systems.
- Mindset: Action-oriented, detail-driven, and adaptable. You bring a learning mindset and an appetite for continuous improvement.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders/stairs on a concrete manufacturing floor for 8–12 hour shifts in varying hot/cold environments. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear all required PPE (safety glasses, earplugs, safety footwear).

Responsibilities
Equipment Troubleshooting
- Conduct repairs in a timely manner, monitor operating supply and repair part levels. Submit requisitions in a timely manner to prevent out-of-stock situations.
- Conduct hot work, confined spaces and high altitude
- Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with Company policies
- Keep work area and department clean and organized.
- Follow instructions of the Maintenance Supervisor
- Perform all other tasks as directed by Purafil Manufacturing Leadership
- Train other crew members as required
- Conduct daily checks on boilers, air compressors, and dust collectors to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on process and facility equipment, this may include
- Changing filters
- Oiling chains
- Dust/vacuum particles
- Ensure all equipment is operational at optimal capacity.
- Troubleshoot equipment when the production team is reporting out-of-normal conditions
- Mix dry (powdered) chemicals in blender for shift’s production.
- Assist disc operator with pumping of liquid bulk totes of chemicals.
- Change screens on separators
