What You'll Do:
Responsible for developing sales strategies, programs, plans and sales schedules for select accounts in logistics, transportation operations and/or imports or exports in addition to acquiring new business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure revenue objectives are aligned with securing maximum participation in profitable and strategic commercial customer bases.
- Maintain top level contact with both existing and new customers in the logistics/transportation arena.
- Leads business development team for growth and expansion in the asset and non-asset sectors of FTL and LTL operations.
- Apply effective marketing techniques to maximize the impact of sales efforts.
- Maintain, track and capture a pipeline of opportunities available for solicitation with close coordination with the contract administration group.
- Work with industry contacts, the financial community and trade organizations to identify and capitalize on service opportunities.
- Build and manage the business development staff to monitor, control and manage company operations.
Qualifications
Education & Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation, logistics, marketing or a related field; or a combination of post-high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.
Experience:
10+ years’ experience managing sales in one or more of the following transportation operations, shipping logistics and imports or exports. Additional experience developing and executing strategy initiatives preferred.
Other:
Travel may be required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Competencies:
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to perform accurately in a detail oriented environment. Ability to gather, interpret, report and use data and other information concerning assigned activities. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Skilled in preparing clear and concise documents, including but not limited to reports, procedures, correspondences and other written materials. Knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices of import forwarding and customs brokerage in a domestic and/or international capacity. Familiar with logistics and transportation principles, concepts and methodologies including inventory management, moving product via various modes, cost analysis and resource optimization.
