Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead a team of technicians as the subject matter expert on all processes within your area of responsibility
• Mentor and coach team and experience delegating tasks to team
• Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
• Successfully lead process work and review for quality and adherence to standards and procedures.
• Independently execute and prioritize work to meet production schedules
• Integration and test of the LEO satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controlled environment
• Rigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive flight hardware
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other machines to move hardware
• Experience as a spotter and calling signs to crane operators or forklift drivers
• Able to obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, and/or certifications as required.
• Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers, and dial calipers
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
• Run functional testing on units, including some basic troubleshooting operations
• Use computer software programs for performing tests
• Check and inspect your work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met per the drawing and work instruction requirements
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunities
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environment
• Shift schedule will vary, depending on production/launch schedules.
• Must be willing and able to perform extended travel up to 25% annually, either domestically or internationally as business needs demand.
A day in the life
The Processing Lead Technician will work closely with cross-functional engineering, test, quality and operations teams on flight hardware integration processes. This position requires skill and experience in a variety of areas, including mechanical assembly, propellent loading, rigging, operating heavy machinery (i.e., forklifts), running sub-system functional tests and troubleshooting test failures on space products. In short, you will be responsible for a majority of the most critical tasks to process the Kuiper satellite for integration and launch operations while ensuring high quality, workmanship and safety standards are adhered to on a daily basis.

- 4+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Able to obtain and maintain a US Passport & must meet customs entry requirements to include but not limited to: Yellow Fever vaccine and other immunization requirements as recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
- Ability to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks
- Experience in a fast-paced, automated, industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environment
- Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings
- Experience working with Foreign Object Debris (FOD), ESD sensitive hardware, and in a clean room
- Experience with forklifts, cranes, rigging, and heavy equipment (including previous certifications)
- Able to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Able to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent- 4+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
