responsibilities:
- Track daily inbound and outbound freight using system tracking tools (e.g., FourKites) and perform timely carrier follow-ups to ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with corporate supply chain teams, third-party carriers, distribution centers, and production plants to secure freight coverage and prevent service failures.
- Maintain professional carrier and customer relationships through prompt, courteous communication regarding load status, delays, and service failures.
- Document and manage reason codes, resolve EDI 214 errors, process customer returns, and assist with carrier portal training and setup.
- Support the Transportation Manager with key financial metrics, detention management, rate benchmark achievements, and operational performance reporting.
